A waiting period is the length of period that an insurance company will make you wait before they will pay for certain dental services. Many dental insurance plans policies define a waiting period of six months for basic services such as fillings and twelve months or longer for major services such as a crown, before you are covered to have them under then plan. You can find plans that offer no waiting periods, however make sure you read them carefully as they tend to limit the coverage’s you receive in some other manor.
